About Care & Share Products

Care & Share Products Pty Ltd was originally Christian Press Pty Ltd started by Bill Dalrymple in 1957 to service Christian Bookshops with imported books, cards and Sunday School resources. Of interest, Bill's father opened the first Christian Bookshop in Sydney in 1920.

Ron Edwards acquired the business from the Dalrymples in 1983. In 1987, Ron saw the need to broaden the distribution of cards and gifts - products with words of Hope, Inspiration and Encouragement to secular card & gift shops. He also brought his two companies Christian Press and Edwards Health Education Services under a new more appropriate banner - Care & Share Products.

As early as 1984 we began working with Easter Morning in the Philippines. They were providing jobs for unmarried mothers teaching them to sew handbags, we commissioned them to make Bible Covers. Then in 2003, Care and Share registered a new logo and brand "Empowering People to Care". A new dimension inspired by God was added to the brand when Ron started to work with more Mission groups such as Tamar (Thailand), Care Channels (Philippines) - This year we have expanded this vision by working with more Mission organizations, 8 infact. We certainly believe God will add more. Donna Redding has joined the team as our 'Marketing Co-ordinator' and 'Buyer' for this project, buying Beautiful Gifts, Bags, Toys, Homewares and much more from these wonderful organizations. Her varied background in Micro-Enterprise Development and various Design Mediums should add a new dimension to this wonderful project.

God desires relationship first with Him and then with each other. After all, we are all brothers and sisters so a KEY component of the Care & Share programme is to provide a way for YOU the purchaser of the gift to connect with the Person/Persons who handmade the gift. Attached to each product will be a tag/label which says "Lovingly made by (person-s name) and provides a website connection to the organization/mission group where the person is provided employment.
